“I used to work as an audiologist and clinical lead in a local NHS audiology clinic a few years ago. Most of my working life was spent within the best and brightest NHS audiology teams in UK. It was a job that I loved and paid the bills as well. I had a great run with my various NHS stints. However, the science of audiology has developed a great deal in 21st century and after I finished my doctorate in audiology here in London, my brain was buzzing with lots of new ideas to be able to help people with ear issues. However, NHS time and resources at hand were being a hinderance in materialising these ideas within the clinic. This is when the concept of first Audiology Planet clinic was born. However, it is still a journey and not a destination. Through my network with a number of colleagues in UK and abroad and via continuous professional development events, I am learning new ways of empowering the community all the time.”
